Is it Necessary to Have Immobilisation to Install a Tracker?
It is no longer necessary to have immobilisation before installing a tracker. You may not need a tracking system with immobilisation to meet your insurance requirements. If you want to make your vehicle even more secure, you can opt for immobilisation as well.
Our Meta Deadlock and Deadlock Pro devices have no tag no start lock and OBD lock. If your vehicle gets stolen, you will not be able to immobilize it. However, the control centre of the tracker device will be able to immobilize it upon the police’s request.
- Meta can be de-immobilised via phone application.
- Smartrack iMob has no tag and no start. It can be de-immobilised via a control centre.
- Scorpion S5 Plus does not have a tag and start but it can be de-immobilised via application.
- Smartrack S5 Plus has immobilisation and it lets you drive the vehicle away. Then, the control immobilises the vehicle liaising with the police.
