What is Relay Attack?
Without ever entering your home, or touching the car’s key, thieves are able to open and start your vehicle and drive it away in just seconds. Two transmitters or ‘relay’ boxes are used by the thieves; one is held close to your car and the other near to where you keep your key. This way, the signal produced by your key is lengthened, fooling the car into thinking the key is present.

Category 5 Insurance Approved Tracking
The Thatcham approved S5 E-TEC Deadlock is a system designed vehicle immobiliser have a tag system. When a tag holder enters or exits the vehicle, the vehicle instantly recognises them as an authorised driver. The tracking system must comply with this method to be certified as a Thatcham approved S5 immobiliser. The Thatcham approved Meta S5 E-TEC Deadlock is a system that is designed to work if there’s no tag the vehicle will not start, unless authorised with your tag or on your app which is designed to override the system in case the tag is lost there are two ways of overriding this either via GSM or Bluetooth in case you are in area with no GSM reception. The Meta S5 ETEC Deadlock, in addition has 2 circuit protection the 2 circuit will be operational unless authorised on the app. In case of theft when the Police are involved in pursuing your vehicle in the event of a theft, they can authorise the Control Centre to activate immobilisation to stop the vehicle when it is safe to do so and stop the thieves going any further.

Encrypted Remote Fobs
The S5 E-TEC vehicle immobilisers have a tag system. When a tag holder enters or exits the vehicle, the vehicle instantly recognises them as an authorised driver. The tracking system must comply with this method to be certified as a Thatcham approved S5 E-TEC immobiliser.
Unauthorised Movement Sensing
The Control Centre will contact you to ask for confirmation that the vehicle is secure if it is moved without the ignition on. When installing S5 E-TEC units that use a driver ID tag system, if the vehicle is without a tag, the phone will be actioned via the secure operating centre. A requirement of the S5 E-TEC Thatcham criteria is that the device must be accompanied by a system that is used to verify the driver of the vehicle is an authorised user. With the Meta Trak S5 E-TEC Deadlock devices, driver recognition can be in the form of a physical Driver Detection card. Driver Detection is a physical card-based system that requires the driver to carry a card with them when driving the vehicle. If the card is not present in the vehicle when moving, Meta Trak will endeavor to contact the registered keeper to ensure the vehicle's safety.

Geo Fencing
With the app, if the immobiliser you have installed supports Geo Fencing, you can set a virtual border around the vehicle, so that if the vehicle breaches this border, you will be alerted immediately.

If you are away from the vehicle and want to get back to where you parked, you can request the location in the app to guide you back to the car. If, however, you have parked in an underground car park, GPS tracking can only get you close to where the GPS signal was lost as you drove underground.

Optional Alarm Input
This is when you connect a Meta S5 E-TEC immobiliser to an aftermarket alarm. You will receive push notifications if you have the Meta immobiliser installed. The main alerts for the aftermarket alarm will be smashed windows, tilt/motion or the shock sensor is triggered or indeed if the doors/boot or bonnet circuits are broken which will in-turn trigger the alarm and you will be notified via push notifications.

ENERGY SAVING MODE 2.0
In Energy Saving mode, the dash cam goes on standby when entering Parking Surveillance mode and wakes up to record events triggered by impacts only.
When in use, the U3000 will go to sleep and soon after an impact has been detected by built-in G-sensor, the U3000 will wake up within a second and start recording for the next 20 seconds.
This allows the dash cam to conserve energy and increase up to 5 times the total duration of the dash cam’s Parking Surveillance mode.

FORMAT FREE 2.0 TECHNOLOGY
Avoid corrupt memory cards and the slow process of having to reformat your SD Cards with the free flowing recording system. One of the most common issues with a Dash cam’s reliability is the SD card, these cards are continuously overwritten and often become corrupt if not formatted often. This normally means that you have to remove the SD card and put it into a computer to reformat it. Thinkware have overcome this vulnerability by making the dashcam pre-allocate the memory, avoiding the need to format the SD card on a regular basis and making the footage easily viewable on our Thinkware viewer software.
