Installing a Vodafone Automotive stolen vehicle tracking system automatically gives you access to our mobile application and web. With My Connected Car, you can access and manage a number of your vehicle security and safety functions remotely.
My Connected Car provides easy access to vehicle information such as real-time vehicle location, directions to the vehicle and geofence ability.

Monitored Alarm Center with 24/7 Level 1 Police response
The Control Centre’s are monitored 24/7 so should there be any thefts, you can contact them round the clock. Equally, if there are any tampering, battery disconnect alerts or indeed any unauthorised movement they will be in contact, even if it’s the early hours.
Unauthorised Movement Sensing
The Control Centre will contact you to ask for confirmation that the vehicle is secure if it is moved without the ignition on. When installing S5 units that use a driver ID tag system, if the vehicle is without a tag, the phone will be actioned via the secure operating centre. A requirement of the S5 Thatcham criteria is that the device must be accompanied by a system that is used to verify the driver of the vehicle is an authorised user. With the Vodafone Protect & Connect S5 Plus devices, driver recognition can be in the form of a physical Driver Detection tag. Driver Detection is a physical tag-based system that requires the driver to carry a tag with them when driving the vehicle. If the tag is not present in the vehicle when moving, Vodafone will endeavor to contact the registered keeper to ensure the vehicle's safety.

Location Request
If you are away from the vehicle and want to get back to where you parked, you can request the location in the app to guide you back to the car. If, however, you have parked in an underground car park, the last location recorded before entering the underground car park will be recorded.

Battery and anti Tamper Monitoring
Every tracking device has a built-in battery backup which kicks in when the tracking devices main power source has been cut off or someone disconnects the battery. An alert will be sent by the Control Centre should the battery be disconnected.
Driver Recognition Tags
The S5 vehicle trackers have a tag system. When a tag holder enters or exits the vehicle, the vehicle instantly recognises them as an authorised driver. The tracking system must comply with this method in order to be certified as a Thatcham approved S5 tracker.
Immobilisation (At Police Request)
If the Police are involved in pursuing your vehicle in the event of a theft, they can authorise the Control Centre to activate immobilisation to stop the vehicle when it is safe to do so and stop the thieves going any further
Very High Frequency or VHF refers to the radio frequency range between 30 MHz and 300 MHz. In vehicle tracking, VHF technology utilises these radio frequencies for communication and tracking.
VHF trackers are better in many respects as they keep transmitting signals to strategically placed ground stations. One of the most promising features is that VHF trackers provide a precise location.
Yes, there is an annual subscription fee for all trackers. Either we collect the annual subscription fee, or the tracker user has to pay it to the tracker manufacturer.
Please note that the tracker will not operate unless you buy a subscription plan. This fee is charged because the tracker manufacturer or supplier monitors your car 24/7/365.
In most cases, you will be informed by the tracker company if your vehicle gets stolen. In some cases, you will have to call the given phone number to inform the tracker company immediately after you find out about the theft.
The next course of action is to obtain a crime number so therefore the tracking company can liaise with the police.
